Job Description


Kingsland Public Schools
is inviting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  Candidates must be licensed as a superintendent in Minnesota or demonstrate their ability to obtain a license or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional licensure areas such as Community Education are a positive. Working experience as a superintendent is preferred.  Salary is negotiable DOQ/E.

 

Kingsland Public Schools is located southeast of Rochester and was created in 1992 through the combined efforts and vision of two distinct communities, Spring Valley and Wykoff.  The newly formed district is committed to providing a quality educational experience for each student.  The school district currently enrolls approximately 700 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.  The district offers newly constructed and remodeled facilities, including state of the art science classrooms and labs.  The district has an annual operating budget of $8 million.

Job Requirements

The qualified applicant:
- Will have demonstrated academic leadership in curriculum and staff development

- Will have proven positive relationships with staff, board and community

- Will have an understanding of school district financial and legal issues
